When a pull request is opened, the system launches several agents that look at the code from different angles. Some are responsible for identifying potential bugs, others verify those findings, and another layer prioritizes the issues before sending a final summary back to GitHub.
According to Anthropic, the review depth scales with the complexity of the pull request:

TechCrunch reported that Anthropic sees strong enterprise demand from companies already producing large numbers of pull requests through Claude Code. The company’s head of product, Cat Wu, said engineering leaders are asking how to review the growing volume of AI-generated code efficiently.
That framing matters. Enterprise teams do not just want faster code generation. They want safer deployment, lower defect rates, and less reviewer fatigue.
